Venus Lee Abozed, age 60, passed away on Sunday September 29th 2024. She is survived by her brother Larry Sonnenberg, and her two children Rosie Fugate and Devon Sonnenberg. Venus was a tester for Expeditors for many years, a job that she loved as well as the fellow employees she worked with from day to day. Venus had many health concerns over the course of her life, contracting gastroparesis in 2016. Expeditors were very supportive, especially her direct supervisor Ben Tweedy, throughout her career there, professionally and personally. Venus worked very hard to maintain her status as a valued employee and to provide for her two children. Though physically limited in movement, Venus stayed in touch with friends and family regularly, through Facebook and private messages, to make us smile and laugh. Her relentless optimism always helped her see the good in people and situations. She was known for her kindness, patience and acceptance of others. There will be a memorial service on Thursday October 10th from 12 to 4 at Sumner Voiles funeral home at 15124 Main St. East, Sumner, WA. 98390. There will be a 'go fund me' page created and linked to her Facebook account to assist in taking care of her children.
