Jackie was born on February 28th, 1937 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Alfred and Mae Hagen. She married the love of her life, Morris Bateman in 1956. In 1962 Morris and Jackie moved to Renton to raise their family. Jackie was a deeply religious women and was very gracious when it came to helping people in need, but also made it very clear there were rules… And they needed to be followed.

Jackie and Morris raised 5 children; Steve Bateman (Shar), Greg Bateman (Betty), Jim Bateman, Jay Bateman, and Sherry Bateman-Brekke (Glen). Jackie had many grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Holidays were always celebrated at her home and she made sure everyone had a special time. No one ever left Jackie's house hungry. Jackie is now free of her pain and reunited with her lifelong love, Morris.

Jackie's memorial will take place at Sumner Voiles Funeral Chapel, on Saturday December 16th, 2023 at 10:00am. We would love for everyone to please join with family and friends in remembering Jackie Bateman.
