Edward Donald Neumann (82) of Tacoma, WA passed away at Tacoma General Hospital on December 12th, 2024. He was born in Marion, ND on May 2nd, 1942 to Julius and Christine (Kolb) Neumann. He married Shannon Geene on September 28, 2011. Ed was preceded in death by his loving wife Shannon (2022), his parents, Julius and Christine, and his four brothers, David, Harold, Bill and Alan. He is survived by his three sisters, Lorraine Gall (Jamestown, ND), Dolores Ferrell (Davenport, IA), and Elaine Uhlich (Bismarck, ND). Also surviving is a daughter, Lynda Kwiatkowski (Pekin, IL) and numerous nieces and nephews.

He served in the military as a young man. He also worked at John Deere in Moline and numerous other jobs in WA. He returned to college where he earned an associate degree and went to work at a bakery. He was a lead singer and guitar player, with Conway Twitty being his favorite singer. Most of Conway's songs were included in Ed's playlist. He would sing songs like Sleeping with Linda on My Mind, Sneaky Snake, and others. Children who heard Sneaky Snake just loved it. He had a way with children. He enjoyed jam sessions with friends and performing at various venues. He will be sincerely missed.
