Edna Ruth Platt (Johnson) Age 78 died September 10, 2024 in Puyallup. She was born April 30, 1946 in Puyallup, Washington. She worked several years as an LPN after high school. She moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1969 for school where she met John Platt. The two wed in February of 1970. Edna was a stay-at-home Mom. She enjoyed traveling with her family, knitting, crocheting, and reading. Edna loved making blankets and other items for family, friends and for various organizations.

Edna is preceded in death by her husband, John. She is survived by her children: Steven (Cynthia) Platt, Rena (Josh) Hitchiner, Diane Platt, Teresa Platt, and Kristine Wilson; grandchildren: Stephen Platt, Dakota Platt, Nicholas Hitchiner, Matthew (Anna) Hitchiner, Jacob Ellefson, Dylan Ellefson, Alex Garcia, Kase (Mercy) Garcia, Lance Garcia, Eliott Garcia, and Aubrie Wilson; and great-grandchildren: Kolby-Rae Hitchiner, Stevie Hitchiner, and Jaxsyn Hitchiner.

Funeral service will be Friday, September 20, 2024, 12:30PM at Sumner Voiles Funeral Chapel, 15124 Main Street E, Sumner, WA 98390.

Burial Service will be Monday, September 23, 2024, 10:30am at Woodbine Cemetery, Puyallup.
