Brian Patrick
Egan
May 28, 1970 – January 24, 2024
Brian Patrick Egan was born May 28th , 1970 in the central Wisconsin town of Marshfield to parents Edward and Barbara Egan. With Ed's work with the Weyerhaeuser Company, Brian spent his early years in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and then Federal Way, Washington, before finally settling in Edgewood, Washington. Brian attended Northwood Elementary, Edgemont Junior High, played golf and tennis at Puyallup High School, and graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in business.
Brian's career began with Northwest Embroidery in Milton before his work with Puyallup Heating and Air Conditioning. Brian was a successful salesman, known for his decades of customer service, often seen in his truck calling upon customers or making service calls throughout the Puget Sound. Brian was an avid outdoorsman, a veteran hunter and fisherman throughout the Northwest. A particular highlight was an annual salmon fishing trip to Alaska with his dad and family. Brian actually led the family's last Alaska excursion, serving as captain and guide of the fishing boat.
Brian was also a life-long dog lover, caring greatly for his beloved Rodney, Gus, Cooper and Ella. Most recently, Brian's home became a puppy nursery, which brought joy to many families through two litters of labradors. More than anything, Brian loved his family and friends. From softball championships at the Puyallup Rec Center to pickleball battles in the family backyard, Brian was adored as a son, brother and uncle. He was a regular fan and cheering section for his nieces and nephews at their many activities and events.
A confirmed member of Mountain View Lutheran Church, Brian lives on through family and friends. These include his parents Ed and Barb Egan, his brothers Mike and Chris, sister Jenny, in-laws Melanie, Karyn and Michael, and nieces and nephews Madison, Austin, Luke, Mabel, Jack, Kate and Brian.
Contributions honoring Brian can be made to the Sunny Sky's Animal Rescue, 4227 S. Meridian D335, Puyallup, and Mountain View Lutheran Church. The family is also establishing a Brian Egan Memorial Scholarship.
