Barbara Jean Weaver was born April 18, 1961 in Lock Haven, PA. She passed away May 13, 2021 surrounded by her family in Sumner, WA. She was the daughter of Dorothy Snavely Weaver (deceased) and Frederick Weaver of Lock Haven, PA. Barbara had wanted to be a truck driver taking after her father since her high school days. She didn't get there right away, as she joined the Army out of high school, married into the Army, traveled, until she was finally able to go to school for her dream job in the mid-90's. She drove both cross-country early on, and then drove locally up until she was no longer able to drive. All five foot nothing of her, Barbara did not let her size get in the way of anything she wanted to do. She leaves behind her daughter, Samantha (Alex) and son, Brian (Chae), 7 grandchildren, her brothers Clyde, Sr (Carol), Ronald (Rosemary) and Gary (Dianna). As Barbara wished to be laid to rest in Pennsylvania, there will be services held at Sumner Voiles, Sumner, WA on May 28th from 1100-100pm. She will be taken home to Pennsylvania at a later date this summer, where services will be held to lay her to rest. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that any donations be made to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (www.ovarian.org) in memory of Barbara.
